A lathe-cut record is made individually rather than manufactured in a large pressing run. Your supplied audio is transferred directly onto a blank disc using specialised record-cutting equipment.
Because every record is cut separately, lathe cutting is ideal when you need one copy or a small number of identical copies. You can create a personalised gift, preserve original music, produce a demo, release a limited edition or make a special record for an important occasion.
Your records are created locally in Aldinga, South Australia, using German-engineered lathe technology and durable 2 mm PETG discs.
Unlike traditional vinyl pressing, which commonly requires a large minimum order, our process makes custom vinyl accessible for personal projects and short-run releases. You can order directly online and customise your record to suit your project.
Vinyl Groove offers 7-inch, 10-inch and 12-inch custom records, with available options including black, clear, white and red discs. Picture discs are also available in selected sizes, allowing your image to appear across the face of the record.
Available colours and playing times depend on the selected size and speed. Our online builder displays the compatible options and available recording time as you create your order.
Our custom vinyl builder allows you to upload audio tracks for Side A and Side B, arrange your music and monitor the available playing time.
You can also upload artwork for your centre labels or select a picture disc and provide a full-disc image. If you do not upload centre-label artwork, your record can be supplied with our standard white labels.
